TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. General
These Ticket Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the purchase of tickets and participation in The Wedding Connect ("Event"). By purchasing a ticket, completing the registration, or participating in the Event, the participant ("Participant") legally agrees to be bound by these Terms.
The Wedding Connect reserves the right to supplement or amend these Terms where necessary. The version published on the official website at the time of ticket purchase shall apply.
2. Registration & Ticket Purchase
2.1 Tickets are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Participation is only fully confirmed once full payment has been received.
2.2 Upon completion of the registration and full payment, a legally binding agreement is concluded between the Participant and The Wedding Connect.
2.3 Participation is personal. Tickets may only be transferred in accordance with Section 6 of these Terms.
3. Payment
3.1 Full payment is required to secure the Participant's place.
3.2 In the event that payment in instalments has been agreed, the full ticket price remains binding and payable. The remaining instalments must be paid by the respective agreed due dates.
3.3 If any instalment is not paid by the applicable due date, The Wedding Connect reserves the right to cancel the Participant's registration and reallocate the Participant's place. Any payments already made shall not be refunded.
3.4 All prices are stated in Swiss Francs (CHF), unless otherwise specified.
3.5 All applicable taxes are included unless expressly stated otherwise.
4. No Refund Policy
4.1 All ticket purchases are final.
4.2 As each participant place is reserved upon payment, participation fees are non-refundable. This applies in particular, but is not limited to, the following circumstances:
• illness or injury
• pregnancy
• personal or family emergencies
• professional obligations
• travel disruptions
• flight delays or cancellations
• visa issues
• adverse weather conditions
• changes in personal circumstances
• failure to attend
• late arrival
• early departure
4.3 Participants are not entitled to any refund, credit, exchange, or transfer of their ticket to future editions of The Wedding Connect.
4.4 We strongly recommend purchasing appropriate insurance.
5. Travel & Accommodation
5.1 Unless expressly stated otherwise, Participants are solely responsible for all travel-related and incidental expenses, including but not limited to:
• flights
• train tickets
• accommodation
• airport transfers
• local transportation
• visas
• travel insurance
• meals outside the official event programme
• personal expenses
5.2 Participants are solely responsible for arranging their travel and ensuring timely arrival.
5.3 The Wedding Connect accepts no liability for missed programme elements or delayed arrival due to travel-related issues.
5.4 Participants are strongly advised to wait until The Wedding Connect has confirmed that the minimum number of participants has been reached before booking flights, accommodation, or other non-refundable travel arrangements. The Wedding Connect cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred from bookings made before such confirmation.
6. Ticket Transfer
6.1 If a Participant is unable to attend the Event, the ticket may be transferred to another person free of charge, provided that The Wedding Connect approves the transfer in advance and receives the request in writing at info@twc-switzerland.com.
6.2 Requests for ticket transfers must be submitted no later than 5 days before the Event and must include the full contact details of the replacement participant.
6.3 The Wedding Connect reserves the right to reject transfer requests submitted after this deadline or where the replacement participant does not meet the participation requirements.
7. Changes to the Event Programme
7.1 The Wedding Connect reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the Event programme, including but not limited to:
• speakers
• panel talks
• workshops
• editorial sessions
• styled shoots
• content days
• venue
• schedule
• educational content
• activities
7.2 Such changes shall not entitle Participants to any refund or compensation.
8. Changes to Speakers
8.1 All announced speakers, presenters, moderators, and workshop leaders are subject to their availability.
8.2 Should changes become necessary, The Wedding Connect reserves the right to appoint suitable replacement speakers of equivalent standing.
8.3 Changes to the speaker lineup do not entitle Participants to any refund or compensation.
9. Event Cancellation or Postponement by the Organiser
9.1 Should The Wedding Connect cancel the Event entirely or postpone the Event date, Participants will receive a full refund of the ticket price.
9.2 Such refund shall constitute full and final settlement of all claims against the organiser.
9.3 The Wedding Connect accepts no liability for any additional costs, including but not limited to:
• travel
• accommodation
• transportation
• insurance
• visas
• loss of earnings
• any other personal expenses
10. Force Majeure
10.1 The Wedding Connect shall not be liable for cancellations, postponements, interruptions, or changes to the Event resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
• natural disasters
• severe weather conditions
• pandemics
• epidemics
• governmental orders or restrictions
• terrorism
• war
• civil unrest
• strikes
• closure of the event venue
• infrastructure failures
• any other force majeure event
10.2 Where reasonably possible, tickets shall remain valid for a rescheduled Event.
11. Photo, Video & Media Release
11.1 Professional photography, video, and audio recordings will be created throughout the Event.
11.2 By participating in the Event, Participants agree that photographs, audio recordings, and video recordings in which they may appear or be heard may be used by The Wedding Connect without restriction and without time limitation for the following purposes:
• marketing
• advertising
• press
• editorial purposes
• education
• website
• social media
• future events
No compensation shall be payable for such use.
11.3 Participants who do not wish to appear in close-up photographs or recordings are requested to notify The Wedding Connect in writing before the Event begins. While every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate such requests, it cannot be guaranteed that all recordings can be completely avoided.
12. Use of Created Content
12.1 Images created during Styled Shoots, Editorial Sessions, or Content Days may only be used for the following purposes:
• portfolio
• website
• blog
• social media
12.2 With every publication, Participants agree to:
• credit The Wedding Connect
• tag @twc.switzerland
• credit all participating vendors, speakers, models, and contributors (a list will be provided at the respective Event).
12.3 Without the prior written consent of The Wedding Connect, the images may not be:
• sold
• sublicensed
• commercially licensed
• submitted to magazines or publications
• used for workshops
• used for educational programmes
• used for competing events
13. Recording of Educational Content
13.1 Personal handwritten notes are permitted.
13.2 Audio recordings, video recordings, livestreams, screen recordings, or any other recordings of presentations, workshops, panel talks, or other educational content are strictly prohibited without the prior written permission of The Wedding Connect.
14. Intellectual Property
14.1 All presentations, educational materials, concepts, brand content, event formats, workshop content, documents, teaching materials, and all other Event content remain the exclusive intellectual property of The Wedding Connect and/or the respective speakers.
14.2 Any reproduction, publication, distribution, disclosure, commercial use, or any other form of exploitation is prohibited without prior written permission.
15. Editorial Sessions & Creative Direction
15.1 Participants agree to follow the instructions of The Wedding Connect team and the speakers during Styled Shoots, Editorial Sessions, Masterclasses, and Content Sessions. Participants are expected to treat all attendees, speakers, models, vendors, and members of the event team with respect, professionalism, and courtesy at all times.
15.2 Failure to comply with these instructions may result in exclusion from the respective activity without any entitlement to a refund.
15.3 The use of drones is only permitted with the prior written approval of The Wedding Connect and in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
15.4 Outdoor programme activities may be modified, postponed, or cancelled due to weather conditions.
16. Participant Conduct
16.1 All Participants agree to behave respectfully and professionally towards:
• speakers
• models
• the venue
• vendors
• sponsors
• other Participants
16.2 The Wedding Connect reserves the right to remove any Participant from the Event without refund if their behaviour is considered:
• disruptive
• offensive
• discriminatory
• harassing
• inappropriate
• under the influence of alcohol
• dangerous, or
• detrimental to the Event.
17. Sponsorship & Brand Presence
17.1 Without the prior written consent of The Wedding Connect, Participants are not permitted to advertise, distribute marketing materials, or represent competing brands, businesses, or events during the Event.
18. Equipment & Personal Belongings
18.1 Participants are solely responsible for all of their equipment.
18.2 The Wedding Connect accepts no liability for the loss, theft, or damage of cameras, lenses, flashes, computers, drones, memory cards, or any other personal belongings.
18.3 If a cloakroom or luggage storage is provided, its use is entirely at the Participant's own risk. To the extent permitted by law, The Wedding Connect accepts no liability for the loss, theft, or damage of clothing, luggage, or any other personal belongings left there.
18.4 Participants are solely responsible for obtaining adequate insurance coverage. In particular, it is recommended that Participants maintain valid personal or business liability insurance as well as insurance covering any equipment brought to the Event.
19. Health & Safety
19.1 Participation is at the Participant's own risk.
19.2 Each Participant is solely responsible for their own health, safety, and well-being.
19.3 Dietary requirements and allergies will be accommodated where reasonably possible, provided that The Wedding Connect receives written notification at least 14 days before the Event. An allergen-free environment or the complete avoidance of cross-contamination cannot be guaranteed. Participation and the consumption of food and beverages provided during the Event are at the Participant's own risk. To the extent permitted by law, The Wedding Connect accepts no liability for allergic reactions or health-related issues that may occur despite careful planning and communication.
19.4 The Wedding Connect exercises the right to control access to and conduct within the Event throughout its duration. Participants must comply at all times with the instructions of the event team, speakers, and the respective venue.
20. Limitation of Liability
20.1 To the extent permitted by law, The Wedding Connect shall only be liable for damages caused by intentional misconduct or gross negligence on the part of The Wedding Connect.
20.2 To the extent permitted by law, any liability for ordinary negligence is excluded. This applies in particular to indirect damages, consequential damages, loss of profit, loss of data, production losses, and any other financial losses arising in connection with participation in the Event.
20.3 The Wedding Connect accepts no liability for the acts or omissions of third parties, including but not limited to hotels, venues, catering companies, speakers, vendors, or other contractual partners.
20.4 Participation in the Event and in all programme activities, editorial shoots, masterclasses, and any other activities is entirely at the Participant's own responsibility.
20.5 To the extent permitted by law, the total liability of The Wedding Connect shall be limited to the ticket price paid by the respective Participant.
21. Data Protection
21.1 Personal data shall be processed in accordance with the applicable Swiss and European data protection laws.
The data will be used exclusively for:
• organising the Event
• communicating with Participants
• future editions of The Wedding Connect
• marketing communications, where permitted by law or where the appropriate consent has been obtained.

22. Minimum Age
22.1 Participation is limited to persons aged 18 years or older, unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.
23. Sponsors
23.1 Products, gifts, goodie bag contents, or services provided by sponsors remain the responsibility of the respective sponsor.
23.2 The Wedding Connect accepts no liability in this regard.
23.3 Sponsor gifts and goodie bag contents may vary and do not form part of the booked services.
24. Governing Law
24.1 These Terms of Participation shall be governed exclusively by the laws of Switzerland.
24.2 The exclusive place of jurisdiction shall be Basel, Switzerland.
25. Severability
25.1 Should any provision of these Terms of Participation be held to be wholly or partially invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected and continue in full force and effect.
26. Legal Structure of the Organiser
26.1 The Parties acknowledge that the Organiser is currently entering into this Agreement as a simple partnership (einfache Gesellschaft) and intends to transfer its business operations into a limited liability company (GmbH).
26.2 Upon registration of the GmbH in the Commercial Register and the transfer of the business operations, all rights and obligations of the Organiser arising from this Agreement shall transfer to the GmbH. The GmbH shall assume all rights and obligations under this Agreement and shall take over this Agreement without amendment.
26.3 The Participant hereby agrees in advance to this transfer of the Agreement. No further consent or the conclusion of a new agreement shall be required for this purpose.
26.4 Following the registration of the GmbH, the Organiser shall inform the Participant in writing of the new company name as well as the updated company and billing details.
